[Solution] Custom ROM for MK808B-Fake (No Wifi/BT)

Yesterday i compared a MK808B and a MK808B-Fake. I measured the wifi speed and made a really awesome discovery. The Clone needs ~100mA less than the original.

Also i got 50kb/sec more. In fact, i would say, that the MK808B-Fake is an improvement!

It seems that the Mediatek Chipset is alot better.

Improvement only because at my MK808B Original, the outer Wire of the WiFi Cable was not mounted to the Antenna Plate, so i fixed this and WiFi Signal is a lot better now.

The important Thing is the Power of the Device, I installed Set CPU to check how it runs, my 808B has 1,4GHz as maximum Speed, some Users with the Fake one report only 1,2GHz... But I don´t know if that is true.

I use my MK808B with an Ethernet USB Dongle, so no WiFi needed.
But my Finless 1.5 ROM runs 1080p really good, and to the Fake Device it should bot run good, so that´s what I heared.

How do you overclock yours ? I like to try to my 1,4GHz maybe there more Power...
I tryed some Apps nothing works...

Hey there, could you please tell me how to Overclock the MK808B to it´s 1,6GHz ?
I´ve mounted a Fan on Top, so no Cooling Problems yet, but only 1,4GHz for now and I like to get 1,6GHz !
Hope you could help....

As you might know, theres a MK808B-Fake in the www. So if your WIFI and BT not working with the Finless 1.5 Custom ROM (and all others) you should open the case and have a closer look.

Description on the Board MK808 and under it V103C. The WIFI-Chip/BT is a completely different one. The fake uses a Mediatek wifi/bluetooth chipset instead of the RK902. The fake versions do use this FW: rk30sdk-eng 4.1.1 JRO03H eng.box.20121126.

I tried hours and hours so this is actually the only working solution, but the stock firmware is totally crap. No 720p kernel, a very bad GUI, no root etc.

As you can read every day others get the fake/clone - so i think a lot of them were produced. I hope it helped you guys.

It would be awesome, if anyone can build the Finless 1.5 ROM for the custom WIFI/BT chipset!
