Beta Jelly Bean Onda Firmware available for Polaroid 701C

I downloaded the new Onda firmware (for V1 only) and it works great!

P.S. I would use google translate as it's in Chinese and if the link doesn't work right on their site under support look for the firmware for the VX610W Deluxe V1.

Nice. I saw your post about your ROMS too but it didn't say much about what you were doing. What kinds of tweaks are you making?

Initially, I'm debloating, adding google play, init.d, display speed tweaks, wifi tweaks, etc. (the first post has the changelog). Eventually I want to get to the point of building my own kernel and replacing the (sucky) stock kernel, but as it is, I have an elektricity ROM booting Gingerbread in 19 seconds and ICS booting in 34 (I think-my counting was off! lol!) which ain't too shabby to start out with, IMHO

I'm assuming these are live suite imgs, wonder if someone could work on a cwm zip of this. Since my computer died, I can't flash with Live suite, so the only way for me to flash a new ROM is download directly to tab, and flash with cwm

...and up until now, I never needed to make a Live Suite Image-even though I have CWM baked into all my ROM's....

I look into trying to create a cwm zip-never did it before...

              Hey Eletrik,
Just work on getting the JB Rom for live suite, once you get that running, I think what we can do, for me at least, is once you get JB running the way you want, do a CWM backup of it, then rar/zip/7z it, and ship me a link, and I can download that and put it in my CWM folder and restore from that, just bypassing the cwm zip and the updater script...

              BTW I've got the 701C A10 tab....

Thanks for all your hard work on your Roms...

NP bro-Never originally intended to be a ROM builder-I guess necessity really *is* the mother of invention, hehe.

I have your ICS image on my 701c. It is working great. You say you have CWM baked in to the ROM? How do I boot into it? Any special key combo on boot? Can I i do regular backups with the CWM without installing anything else? On last questions.....What is the ETA for the JB ROM? thanks!

I can answer one of those questions, yes you can make backups and restore using CWM without installing anything else. Also if people start making CWM zips you can use CWM to install new ROMs

Thanks! I don't see CWM as an installed app. Do I reboot in a special way or do a button combmo press on bootup to get to CWN recovery?

I'm thinking he added a reboot app, I'm not sure since I'm not running that version of the ROM. I know he was working the reboot app in another thread

I added a custom 'reboot' application made by our very own Petrus-he had an application for the RK folk, and he was willing to modify it to work with my Elektricity ROMS ( although, I'm guessing it could work for any Allwinner tab with init.d support and CWM installed). If you select 'reboot into recovery' it will boot CWM for you.
