WHERE is the HEAT in the IMITO MX1 - MX2 ?? Heatsink mod?

hi guys i ordered an imito mx1 because a friend of mine already has one
he lives in a country whew it is summer now and told me the device is very hot on the back of his tv

im thinking about doing a mod. to dig a hole in the metal case and glue with artic epoxy a ram heatsink or a motherboard heatsink on the top of the chips directly. the problem is i don't know what chips are the ones generating all the heat in the device

anyone knows? 1? 2? 3? 4? 5? 6?

3 is the CPU & chip people usually try to cool. I've seen people have put heat sinks on 1&2 too. Maybe those are the GPU chips?

1, 2,4,5 are ram chips.

3 is the SOC (CPU and GPU)

6 is the nand flash. The chip where the OS is stored

I am confused as to why there are four ram chips. Do these things use dual channel memory?

imo, 1,2 are the ram chips. 4,5 are the flash memory chips.

6 is flash 100%

And 1,2,4,5 are all the same chip type. Same part number. They're Ram chips

justa to let you all know

we tried the black heatsink on top of the #3. thats the one that makes most of the heat

we tried finless 1.5 1080p with the stick

even with the heatsink on top of the chip directly it was like fire!!

we stressed out with angry birds space HD and angry birds starwars HD
we noticed video glitches horizontally while running those 2 games

so watch out

i have the finless 1.5 at 1080p setup flashed using his tutorial

im experiencing many weird things with my imito mx1

with the stock 4.1.1 rom sometimes the device got stuck with the boot logo, booted a second time and it was fine

with finless 1.5 I have the same problem sometimes i boot and it gets stuck in the boot sceen and sometimes it goes to black screen after that

does your imitos ever froze on boot screen?

I have had horizontal video glitches while doing some things (never while watching a 720 movie though) but wasnt aware it was overheating just throught a bug in the 1.5rom with the 1080p beta kernel. When you run those games it shows up constantly or what?
