CANT GET IN FLASH MODE HELP!!!

I tryed 2 diffrent cables. I push down button in hole beside blue light. Plug in cable to the otg port (it says blue light should not come on it does). Wait 10 seconds release button. Almost immediatly I hear the boing from windows. In the finless flash tool it comes up as "Found RKAndroid MaskRom Rock USB" if i try the reboot to flash button i get "device can not do flash mode, it is not a msc device"

In device manager it comes up rk30 device. I tryed the drivers again after already installing them and windows tells me there up to date.

I also tryed RK Batch Tool. And cannot get the green square.

What am I missing. Ive read all the guides and watched all the youtube videos. And cant for the life of me get this into flash.

You are in MASK ROM mode which means your ROM got erased at some point.
MASK ROM mode means you are in flash mode! It's just another form of flahs mode.

You do not need to reboot flash button as your already in flash mode. Just erase NAND and flash.

New problem now. I erased nand then flashed rom. Now just a black screen.

Try it again. Sometimes after a full erase like you had "MASK ROM" it can stick like that.

Also get a better 5V power supply. Many issues with black screen are power problems.

I got it to boot im now in 1.6. I cant get my wifi to turn on. I check off turn on wifi. It says its turning on then after 5 -10 seconds its back to no check mark. My mk808 was advertised as just that a 808 not a 808b

If wifi des not work then in fact you probably have a 808b or the FAKE 808b both of which have different wifi chips. Best to try 808B ROM and see.

I tryed both the 1.6 for mk808 and the 1.5 for mk808b both with same results with the wifi.

i would love to see a cm 10 based rom.
To get rid of those driver/bluetooth/controller etc issuses.

Thank you very much. I got it back to stock. I didnt know anything about these when I baught it or I woulda baught from you guys. Im donating to help with development on roms for these clones. Thanks again for all your help.

Hey Rivers here form somecooltech on youtube. I spent a lot of time while at CES trying to enter flash mode with no luck on my HP laptop. It was the computer not the MK808. I tried a different computer (mackbook pro running windows)and it worked on the first try.

Forgot to mention it is the "fake / clone"
So stock till when get a good custom rom for these.
