At the moment is no one able to change the kernel for the Rockchip3066, because the manufactures don´t give the source code. Therefore is no solution for that issue with the passthrough. TV Sticks with AML chip have bigger chance to use 5.1 sound. There are boxes wich already can output 5.1/7.1 sound like the ATV1200, Pivos Xios DS,... . Unfortunetely, the boxes have installed old CPUs und even someone only 512MB ram. Additionally they are very expensive. (>140€)
When they made the boxes cheaper or install better hardware, then i will buy one of those boxes, but not yet right now.
