MK808B "Clone/FAKE" - Finless 1.6 Custom ROM - BETA

OK folks here is my MK808 1.6 Custom ROM ported for the MK808B "Clone".

This is a BETA TEST ROM!
I cannot test this kernel as it is security locked for the MK808B Clone hardware. So the kernel will not boot on my original MK808. I get 2 penguins on kernel boot.

Whatever company is making these clones, they are security locking the kernel.img so it will only boot on exact hardware! Same with the new UG802 Clone! This sucks because it will not allow me to test boot the ROM except with my original MK808 kernel.

This is why I am calling this a BETA! So there is NO guarantee this ROM works. You will be a crash test dummy. Obviously since there is a stock ROM available, you can recovery using it if my ROM does not work.

Also please help with the readme.txt for flash mode instructions. Since I do not have one of these there maybe better ways to put it into flash mode. The current readme is following my MK802 instructions.

So you folks with the MK808B Clone can try this ROM and provide me feedback for improvements.

Does Clone mean the ones with different wifi chip ?

Not working on "normal" mk808b

Bob thank you very much for the fantastic work you are giving us!!!

I have tried your rom and it isn't working on a "normal" MK808b. I get the same two pinguin's as you got. So I guess that you mean with clone not the MK808b as a clone of the MK808, but some MK808b as a clone of the MK808b ;-)

Beta Rom 1.6 for Clone MK808

Hi Bob , thanks for trying to get this Rom to work on the clone MK808. I have tried it on my MK808 but still can't get the wifi to turn on .The ROM boots ok but still no wifi or BT.

Just to confirm this is for the MK808 with the MT6622N and MT5931 SA chips.

I can also confirm "no go on wifi" reverted back to stock "clone" rom all is good. I anxiously await testing another Rom for you Bob. Thanks for the effort.

OK so maybe my fault for trying a easy ROM to start. I assumed kernel.img had the driver but it appears system.img and possibly an insmod command is installing the driver.

I will have another go at BETA2 this week. I have to take apart the stock fake ROM and have a good look at what is going on in boot.img and system.img

But this is why it was called a BETA... I have no way to test it.

Hey guys just an update. I am sorry to say that my work on this is going to be delayed a little bit.

As a US citizen one thing we are called to do is be on Jury Duty for court cases.
I have Jury Duty this week and I have been put on a Jury. So I will be gone all day every day until we are done with the hearing.

I am actually proud to Juror and consider it a honor to do so.

But this means I have less time right now to do work but I promise you guys when I get back, this is a priority for me to help you guys get a good TV stick.

I have a TV box named "AP10”,It use same cpu and wifi chip as MK808B，and its wifi is much better than MK808b，Can I use the AP10 wifi driver file for mk808b？
