Rooting while keeping app data

Is there any way to root a MK808B while keeping current app data so that everything can be backed up with Titanium Backup or something similar? I'm familiar with flashing a new ROM on my phone, but that process generally wipes my phone. So I guess what I'm asking is if there is a pre-rooted stock rom that I can flash. I've searched, but it seems that the popularity of the Finless ROMs (what I ultimately want to get to) fill the results. I'm just afraid that if I flash Bob's ROM that it will wipe my app data as it re-partitions things.

As I explore this thing, I realized that it basically came pre-rooted. Once I installed Busybox and Superuser from the play store, the root check apps say that it is rooted and Titanium Backup runs fine. Any one else experience something similar?

This stock ROM does come with SU binary in /xbin so it is simi rooted.

Do you mean the stock rom? Also, when I installed Fin 1.5, I lost the screen shot icon on the bottom status/menu bar. Any way to get that back?

Yes the stock ROm is simi rooted. You should be able to install superuser from google play and be good to go.

As for the snapshot, my ROM does not have that and it cannot be brought back without another ROM release to add it back. Personally I did not care for it as you can do a key sequence or an APP to do the same thing.

I was using the snapshot feature to grab splash screens for Tvlauncher 2.0 tiles. :-) It also helped in some of the games that I was playing when you needed to remember some locations or clues. But I think I can replace that with something in the notification tray. Thanks for the answers to all my newbie questions.
