(how to) never have to set up xbmc the way you like it again

just figured this out today because im thinking about flashing a finles rom to see if my usb audio dongle will work and didn't want to have to completely reset up xbmc with all the plugins and my green theme i made in aeon nox wallpapers/green home bar ect.. i did this from android to pc to test and my pc xbmc is an exact copy of my android xbmc so i assume it works android to android as well

use a root file explorer backup/copy every folder from here (internal sd)
    Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc
to a flash drive or other storage device you realty only need the addons folder and userdata folder the others are empty next time you change roms or need to reinstall xbmc just copy everything back to where you got it after you install xbmc

not sure if this transfers skins to i already had aeon nox installed on the pc

... i know xbmc has a back up plugin or something which proable does the same thing but theres no need to install anoher plugin ---

On the other hand if you install and set up the plugin you can have automatic backups without thinking about it

Copying the whole ".xbmc" folder into another version/release of XBMC will give you some issues. The XBMC Backup plugin is your safest bet and works like a charm.

Try it, the Super Backup. I know TiB backs up/restores apps AND data! I've been using the Pro version for a very long time, it was the second app I purchased.

It creates 3 separate compressed files: for info, apk and user data.

Thanks! Never thought about that - I had always used SSH but the USB direct connection will be much quicker.

                    Thanks again
