Function of "RK30xxLoader (L) _V1.xx.bin" ?

Hi Bob and all the others who know!

Does anyone know what is the function of the "RK30xxLoader (L) _V1.xx.bin" or what causes this?

What surprised me a bit is that all previous firmware's for Neo-X5 include a loader version 1.11.
In the latest firmware from MiniX (20130117) but the loader version is 1.22!
Both versions work if you split with Wendal tool the xxx.img and then with RKAndroid tool each .img reflashing again.

The bootloader is Rockchips low level loader. It not the same as say uBoot on AMLogic / Allwinner etc. It is rockchip unique and they do not disclose ANYTHING about it. Many have tried to figure out exactly what this does. Only people that buy from Rockchip the SDK get to know anything about this.

Now for tablets, I have always told people NEVER flash a unkown bootloader as you can perma brick! However for TV sticks you can easily take them apart and short NAND pins to wipe NAND and put it in MASK rom MODE and recovery. But people do not like to take apart tablets. Taking apart the Neo X5 would also be a little more difficult but not as hard as a tablet.

Rockchip does release to manufacturers updated bootloader code from time to time. So this is not unepxected.

But this is about all we know about this bootloader.
