    MK808-B "V1 Clone" - Finless 1.6 Custom ROM

    UPDATE 1/29/2012

    Based on testing I consider this ROM no longer a BETA. So this is the launch version now of 1.6 for this clone.

    OK folks here is my MK808B 1.6 Custom ROM ported for the MK808B "Clone".

    My Beta 1 was missing some wifi modules and other sneaky SHIT they did in init scripts to try to hide what this wifi chip is! I think this is more HACKER SHOP than a real ROM shop based on what I found. STUPID if you ask me!

    Note from BETA 1 which still apply:

    Whatever company is making these clones, they are security locking the kernel.img so it will only boot on exact hardware! Same with the new UG802 Clone! This sucks because it will not allow me to test boot the ROM except with my original MK808 kernel.


    Also please help with the readme.txt for flash mode instructions. Since I do not have one of these there maybe better ways to put it into flash mode. The current readme is following my MK802 instructions.

    So you folks with the MK808B Clone can try this ROM and provide me feedback for improvements.

            Great news! I have some MK808s en route from China, & it's nice to know thanks to Finless Bob's efforts, I won't own white elephants.

                Hi. Thanks Bob. In my MK808 Clone/Fake:

                Wifi--> Work
                Bluetooth -->Work
                Reboot --> Don´t work, superuser denied
                Ethernet--> Please ADD to your next Custom ROM, wired is more better than Wifi!!!

                  when i flashed the rom i plug it on the tv it ve a android logo and reboot once .after reboot i just ve two linux logo at the left corner,pls help

                      Sorry if this is a noob statement but I have no idea how to flash back to the original firmware from here.

                        Hello, proven performance with this ROM MK808. Ok Bluetooth, WIFI Ok, but sometimes if I'm either browsing or using data packets are lost, it may be because of the intensity of the WIFI, I'll keep trying.

                          Odd the reboot app is not working! When you first run it, you should get asked for permission from SuperUser. If you click accept, the reboot APP should not have SU permissions! Did you guys get that prompt and answer yes?

                          Glad I got wifi and BT working finally. Now I can do some cleanup, tweaks, and make a real non-Beta ROM
