Wimo App?

OK I will bite.... There is a Wimo APP in the X5 but no client? What I read was this client is only in Minix Tablets which are not out yet?

No, the client is suppose to be on all rockchip tablets. Minix did not create wimo, rockchip did.

I do not believe that is the same thing. The RK Remote works on this device BUT NOT with the Wimo app. So sorry... incorrect! This is someting different than the RK Remote which I am very familiar with!

OK send me the info please. I searched around for info about this and found nothing called wimo.

What I think your talking about the RK mirroring? The client for this is like this one:

Again when you run the Wimo server on the X5 this client does not connect. It does connect on it's own though and can be setup in eHome Media center. So again this is not the same remote thing built into rockchip that I know about. Also I have many RK3066 tablets and none of them have this.

So if you have some info, please share it as again I could find nothing about Wimo. Maybe Minix is calling it Wimo but it has another name?

From an article from engadget china 2011 .... there appears to be some apks loaded on the device wimotx and wimorx seen here


Also you can see the little WimoTX icon running in the status/task bar at the top



Further reading says this was achieved using the R-Box connected to the TV. From reading this forum there appears to be some different firmwares and software out there for a clone called MaxQ R7. Maybe a good place for Finless to start.

My tv stick is imito mx2 with wimo rx - rom finless 1.7 thanks to Bob
The sender is my rooted samsung S3 with wimo tx
Mirror is fine but menu need to be translated to English
