MK809 4GB - Finless 1.5 (Imitio MX1) rom flash results, stock kernel

Hi Bob,

Posting this outside the previous places used to discuss MK809s to avoid further hijacking and confusion to Imito and MK808 users. Any chance of a separate forum for MK809/MK809II?

Anyway, as per your earlier advice, I flashed Finless 1.5 with the kernel.img from a stock ROM. Process as follows:

Starting: stock MK809 firmware http://www.mk809.com/cs102/UploadFil...e_20121121.zip

CWM: flashed generic RK3066, ram-disk only, all working (MK809 version was frozen every time, may be a related issue) http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/rk3066/

CWM: backed up to external SD (OK)
Finless Utility: replaced recover.img and kernel.img with those from my CWM backup.

Result: exactly the same as just flashing Finless 1.5. All looking good, but no wifi.

Any thoughts? I can provide the .imgs used if it might help.

We probably need a dump of styock system.img or a stock ROM download so I can pull the wifi drivers out of it.

i did the same, as above, but no wifi. I own an MK809 (same as MK809II, but no BT)

This is the Mk809, version 1, 4 GB no Bluetooth. The ROM is a different download to that of the version 2. I sent you the stock ROM that I actually installed on my stick with working WiFi.

I just flshed the 1.7 UG802 2dark finless 1.7 rom on MK809. Wifi works!

Sadly the Rockchips launcher and other bloat scared me off and I restored by flashing back my CWM recovery.img and then me full backup. Think I'll give the MK802III rom a go next.

Anyway, the drivers seem to be in the UG802 ROM and working with the 2dark kernel too. Maybe that helps if you have that one pulled apart already.

Just got my mk809 and it said compatible with UG802 finless ROMs lol. Maybe old news by now though!

Finless 1.8(ug802) works as well with mk809.
