Revert 9G2 to original ROM after Finless ROM

Hi, am loving Finless 1.3, and I've not had the tablet long, but have noticed a dead pixel, so want go back to the shop and swap it for a new one.

However i need to revert to a factory version... is this possible? Is there an original image anywhere, i know there isnt one on the Arnova site

Or will they let me swap?

What tablet are you talking about. Arnova has the 10 G2 and 7G2 available for download:

If you have a 9G2, then I can make a stock ROM.
However to go back you need to use the RKBatch tool to flash the update.img.

I would be up for trying to revert, as this pixel is annoying. If you can provide the ROM it would help me loads.

Here you go. Stock ROM kit.
Flash this just like my custom ROM.
This will revert to stock.

YOU MUST:
1) EraseIDB in the flash tool.
2) Check the loader box as you must revert to loader 2.06 to be truly stock.

This is great. I'm having some issues with my SD card (keep getting a message now and again stating SD card is being unmounted and remounted) and I can't find a fault with the SD card itself so I'm presuming this is a hardware fault. I was worried about trying to get a replacement with a custom ROM but you have solved my bacon. Many thanks.

Just been to Currys, they wont do a straight swap, they referred me to Archos UK.

Sorry to hear that but I can tell you Archos support here in the USA has been great!

A friend of mine bought a Arnova 10 G2 from "Toy's R Us" and it dies in about 2 weeks (backlight for the screen went out) and they turned it around with RMA in 15 days.

Just spoke to Archos, they gave me a reference number and told me to go to the shop and swap for a brand new one! Looks like the support is good here too.
