Why is IMITO MX1 faster than MK808 and faster than mx2 ?

many have heat issues with the imito mx1. device crashes because of heat
Many of you dont even have a problem with mk808 and everything is smooth

    so. My question relly is:

why...if both devices have the same chip inside:

antutu shows score of 7200 for mk808
antutu shows score of 8900 for imito mx1
antutu sows even a lower score on imito mx2

i took the benchs posted on geekbuy before adding to cart

what did they really do when they built them?. how come the imito mx1 having the same chip and same video mali-400 specs can have a greater score on antutu ?. Both devices claim to come at 1.2ghz and that can be checked out with android tunner because it shows the actual time in seconds the chip goes into each cpu speed and maximum on imito is 1.2Ghz

so how come both have the same chip inside, same speed in ghz and there is a big difference in antutu benchs..not to mention that the imito gets too hot and sometimes freezes

could the mk808 come clocked at 800 instead of 1.2GhZ?

by the way I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MK808B, IM TALKING ABOUT MK808

    Antutu is very inaccurate.

It's the most popular test which I guess is why they used it. Try it several times on the same device and you'll get more wildly varying results than those.

I will say that having a iMito MX1 I don't use the stock power supply. When I used that this unit would get really hot, so after looking on this forum I've seen people using a D-Link power supply that's rated at 5V 2.5A and must say it really does help with heat and over all performance of this unit.

Did you just cut off the end connector and soldered on microUSB ?

Yep but I used a female USB connector rather then the micro usb cable that comes with the imito, this way I'm not wrecking that cable.

Has worked great so far, next thing I'm going to do is to put on a toggle on/off switch for it to make it easier to start up.

Thanks, just found female barrel connector that fits the power adapter and short USB extension cable that will be sacrificed for this
