Yuandao N70S RileyROM 1.4 - Root, Debloat Custom ROM

Here it is...a new custom ROM for the Yuandao N70S. This is not for the HD version of the tablet.

This is a temporary link to the ROM, we will be posting a permanent link shortly.

My testing reveals that everything works with this ROM.

The Petrus Reboot app is included, but since there is no CWM Recovery, I wouldn't recommend rebooting to recovery, unless you want to deal with a dead robot screen. One of my goals is to include CWM in the next release.

Yuandao just released a new firmware last week, so I'll go to work creating a custom ROM based on that release.

Please keep in mind that I do not have an N70S tablet to test on at the moment. I purchased one for my Dad for Christmas and he has it now. He has been using this ROM on it, and hasn't complained of any problems (and he's 75), so he's my main tester right now. That being said, I would be happy to get feedback from users who try this ROM out.

Yuandao N70S RileyROM 1.4 - Root, Debloat Custom ROM

I need some feedback if you have any.

I'm starting work on an update I just downloaded from Yuandao.

Here is an update on Yuandao's new release:

I put the release notes for this new ROM on Google Translate to see what was different in this release. On the Yuandao N70S.

There were two issues reported that were fixed.

1. To increase the charge off (whatever that means)
2. To solve the occasional black and white, Huaping phenomenon (again, whatever that means)

Most of their enhancements were in the previous release, which is what my already released ROM is based on.

So really we are dealing with an almost exact same ROM.

I have ordered an N70S as a test bed for my next release that I'm currently working on, using the latest firmware from Yuandao. I would like to add CWM support and some flashy UI enhancements on this next ROM, plus some fixes to running some games. We'll see.....

Meantime, I'm interested in feedback from anyone using this current ROM and any requests for the next one.

There is a version 1.6

Leolas is our driver guy. He has a thread to request drivers for USB devices. I'm mobile...so I don't have a link.

There are so many different devices out there...it would be hard to include them all. The good news is that since you have root, you can easily add the driver yourself.

I may add VPN support if there is enough demand, though.

Sorry, but noone of my tries with external bt dongles works, it is not only kernel related, there is more factors that make bt work.
