Set PAL resolution on HDMI out? A part of the picture is missing.

    Hi,

Hardware : MK808B running "Finless 1.5 Custom ROM"

I have an old plasma tv that i like to use as a seconday bedroom tv. The TV only supports VGA / Scart connectivity, therefore i bought a HDMI --> VGA adapter which acctualy works. I can boot and get picture & sound working, as seen below.

My problem is that a 1/8 or so of the screen is to much to the left. Under "Settings -> Screen -> HDMI Mode" i have chosen 720 x 576-50p (PAL). Which i know the TV should handle.

    It looks like this

Then looking under XBMC / Settings it says that the resolution is 1280x672p ...

Why is this? Is there another way to force PAL - resolution ?
    Thanks in advance!

i believe xbmc has its own resolution

xbmc has a video calibration setting to re size the screen and move around just like a pc monitor not sure if it only re sizes xbmc tho

your tv should have a video calibration setting some where kinda like when you press menu button on a pc monitor

your taskbar also seems to be higher then normal

Hi! Yes i have used both the TV's and XBMC's settings to tunde the picture to the right as much as possible. This is the best i can get. Without tweaking the picture was off for almost 1/4 or so.
