Well it's clearly a Sunvel MK808B, so i assume that Sunvel ROM should work on it.

Did you make sure you went through all the steps when flashing the ROM?
          - UG007-II with Finless iMito MX1/2 1.7a ROM and UG802 2Dark4U 1080p overclock kernel and USB WIFI dongle.
          - MK808 with Finless MK808 1.7c ROM and 2Dark4U 1.4 MK808 1080p overclock kernel.
          - MK908-II: XBMC full 1080p playback with a 1080p kernel HERE

sound like a power supply problem?

my mk808 power supply also died after using it for less than 1hour. turn on testing it than turn off. turn-on again 1/2hour later the led blue light on and off again few seconds later.

maybe test it with another psu. any 5V 1A will be ok. if you have 5V 2A better.

so the china made cheapo psu is not realiable. i now use a psp psu 5V 2A. so far no issue.

Can't we just say cheapo because just FYI... I think i have yet to find a single PSU in my house that is not made in China... Yet everything seems to be up and running.

Yeah, alot of stuff are made in china nowadays. not only psu. not all are cheapo either.
so it all boils down to international brand or china/no brand. meaning have stringent QC or normal or no QC at all.

thats why japanese, europrean, american branded products but made in china are still expensive compared to the china/non branded.

what we get in mk808/808B etc are non brand psu.
FYI, sony's psp psu I used is made in phillipines, probably under sony's stringent QC requirements. So more reliable comparatively and of course more expensive.

And that probably explains why some mk808/808B are working prefectly without any issues, some have alot of issues or DOA.
