I have started this thread because someone (I have no idea who) shipped me the Jynxbox HD and the Jynxbox HD mini. Both are AMlogic M3 dual core devices.
FYI, I believe they are rebranded Geniatech devices. In fact pretty sure of it as my HD box says "M3 Enjoy TV Box" and not Jynxbox. The mini was Jynxbox. There is not a LOT of info on these devices out on the web even though they have been out since late last year. So I am learning but it is not easy with very little info out there about them.
I have been playing with them the last few days. I will have to just say this. The ROMs need a lot of work!
Also nothing against AMlogic but they are simply not as fluid in use as RK3066 in general use. I am guessing this could be the ROM or just the processors and Mali GPU are not up to speed. BUT... I have AMlogic MX and M3 tablets and I know they can work well with some work.
I do like many of the features in these ROMs! I also do not like all the bloatware! However they will run Ubuntu out of the box if you learn how to install it. That's kind of a plus for me!
Anyway, stay tuned as I learn and play with these devices. I want to make some cleaned up and smoother ROMs. It just may take a little more time than it usually takes me on Rockchip devices.
