1. Make sure you are using a true powered USB 2.0 port from your PC. This is one that generally runs from the motherboard and not pig tailed to the front of the tower etc...... (not USB 1.1 i know from experience you will get a voltage error when powering up, and not from something like a PCMCIA USB 3.0 not sure why on this as of yet but, might have something to do with voltage.)
2. Make sure to unplug any external power source such as power supply plugged into MINI USB.
3. Use only the OTG (mini USB) for POWER (if you have another plugged into power supply you risk over voltage) and communication directly to the PC, usually from the back.
4. Some may experience connection problems getting the flash tool to recognize the rockchip device, even though the PC sees the device as RK30. What I found was that (after you are sure the PC has correct drivers) if you check (in settings on MK808) connect to PC, UNCHECK USB debugging, then under storage/settings, that even if USB MASS STORAGE is checked, uncheck, check MEDIA, then check the USB MASS STORAGE AGAIN.
For me this is the only way I can get the MK808 to flash correctly and the steps must be repeated every time.
That concludes my good deed for the day, check back often to see what the Dev's at Freaktab are up to. Oh most importantly, Make Sure to read the complete post on whatever it is that your looking into, i have found that with a little reading most of my questions have already been asked and answered, this way we can keep the threads from getting bogged down with the same question.
Much Regards to all
