Question about 1080p / 720p kernels and Video Output.

Hi all !
While i am happily flashing Finless Roms and CM10 and 1080p and 720p kernels i still have a Question.

Is the video Playback Resolution always the same as the Desktop Resolution ?
So if i prefer the 720p Desktop due to speed and Readability is the video playback Resolution also "just" 720p (using a 1920x1080p display) if using HW Accelleration or is it using the full Res ?
While this may sounds like a stupid question, could you still just help me out on this and let me know ?

Hi !
Thanks to "leolas", i found the Omegamoon 1080p kernel which has many options to play around and it works great !
Had to go back to 1400 MHz as 1600 is too unstable for me !
