    Very, very small subtitles with Netflix

    Hello everyone,

    I have tried to watch Netflix on my MK808B device (stock) after installing the Netflix app on a 42" but... subtitles are so small it's almost impossible to see them.

    Does anyone know how to pass by this? Making them bigger?

    Thanks in advance

              Hi,

              It seems it works very fine (after seeing comments on XDA). I'll try to update mine today to check it. Just the 720p stuff missing now... way to go!

              Thanks!

                  I wonder if there are any devices with netflix supporting HD from which "ideas" could be pulled from so we could have it in our devices...

                    netfix has not all the movies in HD. so some of them are.

                    you will need to configure the streaming HD in the netfix web page.

                    then it atuomaticaly will send you content in hd when available.

                    remember that they recomend at leaset 6mb of adsl to see hd content.

                      Strange thing I never get my content in good resolution with MK808B as I get with Xbox 360... anyway, will check on Netflix account.

                          How do you experience framerate and smoothness with the Netflix app on the android stick? I find resolution and sharpness fine but image is a bit to jerky to be ok. Notice mostly in sideway movement and panning scenes. Got the highest setting on the quality on my account settings on the web interface.

                          Other streaming services and YouTube doesn't have this issue on my mk808.

                            does your device has the allwinners a10 chipset?

                            if so i used to have one with that chipset to make better the response of net flix i had to ad some lines in to the buld.prop. keep im mind if you make a mess there you willprobably no be able to boot the deviace again. the only way to do it its to re flash teh device.

                            i will not be reposable for any change you make.

                            1 - devices should be rooted
                            add the following lines into /system/build.prop

                            debug.egl.hw=1
                            ro.display.switch=1
                            debug.sf.hw=1
                            persist.sys.ui.hw=1
                            debug.performance.tuning=1
                            video.accelerate.hw=1
                            debug.egl.profiler=1
                            debug.composition.type=gpu

                            some of them will do nothing i was not able to realy investigate which of the does the job. but basicaly is if you add them into build.prop then reboot the device netflix will run smother.

                            have on your hand the orifginal firmware of your device in case you brick it.

                              Thanks for the tip! Don't know if I have allwinner a10 chip. Vut my device is a mk808.
