Does anyone know if the boot splash exists on the mk808? If it is there where is it? is it a .rle file? I have unpacked the boot.img in the 1.6a and 1.7 roms I have looked in the kernel for picture hex(just a google tv image). I am trying to make a free custom rom that is geared towards education and we want to use the mk808 device for low income families.

Normaly Yes.
Take a Hex Editor on take a look in init, there you will find initlogo.rle.
When you see that than you can make a Boot Splash Logo on your own.
