Use usb Y cable for power?

Can I use similar cable like this and two power adapters to power the MK808 for extra current?

i dunno if that works, but a stronger charger will get you more power.
that way you won't need that

That would make the circuit in parallel so yes it will increase the current, but not by double. If you use 2 x 2A power adapter you will get 3A. This option will cost more than getting a single 3A adapter !

Where do you get that you would only get 3A? I don't see it being any different to when you connect batteries in parallel - If you connect two 2A batteries in parallel then you would get 4A. I'm fairly certain it would be the same with power adapters unless you can prove otherwise?

I would personally avoid this method as I wouldn't be happy that the circuits inside the MK808 were ever designed to carry 4A, I would aim for a maximum of 2A going through the MK808. I would then use an external powered USB hub to power any accessories. If you are using a powered USB hub I would also ensure it isn't also powering the MK808 as cheaper hubs allow the power to go up the data cable back to the MK808 so it's effectively being powered twice. I don't like the thought of back powering so I would cut the red cable either inside the data cable between the usb hub and the mk808 or inside the hub itself - whichever is easiest.
