    MK808B + 1.5GB USB 3.0 HDD = no good...

Can you guys give me advice on how to use my 1.5tb hdd with the MK808B? It starts and fails after 1 minute working... i thing it is about power suplied by the MK808B OTG port... but i've tried with a usb hub with external power and got nothing as well...

    thanks

I have the same problem with a 1TB HDD portable.
But I didn't use a powered USB HUB yet.
My opinion is that was about power... I was thinking buy a powerful usb charger, with 2.5 A at least. But with your report, I'm afraid that will not be resolved too...

I plugged a 750GB 2.5" drive into the otg port and it killed my drive. A PC won't even recognize it now. Be careful.

I plugged an ADATA 1.0 Tb HD710 USB3.0 and the MK808b recognizes it, even you can browse the files, but the HD keeps doing a weird clicking noise, i tought was because the lack of power so I stopped using it and connected to the PC, the HD710 worked normally. My MK808b is currently connected to Lacie Neil Poulton 1.0 Tb USB2.0 without problems.

          Use a *good* powered hub

For this unit you really need a good quality powered usb hub, like D-Link or Belkin. Don't fall for a cheap one like TopTom off ****, they are really crap and badly made. This is your data and expensive hard drive remember!

            Hi,
Are your hard disk formatted as NTFS ? I don't think MK808B support NTFS partition?
I have tried an NTFS HDD before, and the device is not detected either.
I suspect it only works with FAT or FAT32 partitions?
