What is my stick, iMito MX1 or else?

    Hi guys,

I bought a so-called iMito MX1 version 2 (please see the image below). It is advertised that it is an upgraded version of iMito MX1 with a 2MP camera and an AV output port added.

It works quite well with my basic purpose. The reason I try Finless 1.7 Rom is that I have two minor problems with its normal TV output feature.

    - It has an AV output to send the screen to a normal TV (it's this that I bought it because my old TV has AV in port only). But it's a fault when the yellow jack (video) is now an audio jack, and the red jack which is an audio one is now the video line! I thought IT IS BECAUSE A FAULT IN ITS STOCK ROM (*)

    - Not sure if it's because of the wrong video-audio jacks or not but the TV screen is not smoothy with some flickers (it's OK to watch, though). The sound is sometimes quite low with shuffling and annoying noise. I thought IT IS BECAUSE A FAULT IN ITS STOCK ROM (**)

With (*) and (**), I thought Finless Rom may be a way out for my case.

But this new rom does not support AV out to normal TV and worse for me, the camera does not work, either.

Bob (Finless Rom developer) is very surprised at my case and my "iMito MX1 v2" since he has never been informed of any devices like mine. I'm very grateful for his help but it seems something wrong with my device.

I get stuck now with the real iMito MX1 rom which works well but does not support AV out and camera functions. No stock rom for this MX1 v2 found to get back! My stick MIGHT be a fake!

So it comes to my question: who in this world kindly know what my stick is and can provide some help?

    (Sorry for a long message)

If you can get it into Flash mode, try Bob's Measy 1.4 ROM
If it doesn't have a flash button you may need a HDMI to A/V converter so you can at least see what your doing to get into flash mode.

The position of the ports , mic & flash button appear to be identical to th Measy U2C.

          Dear guys,

Bob (Finless) has the same idea as yours about what in fact my "iMito MX1 version 2" is.

Thanks to his instructions, I flashed Measy U2C ROM 1.4 over, and to my surprise, it works again.

I'm testing if it has any problems but up to now at least all WiFi, BT and camera are working flawlessly.

          Thanks to all of you!

Question, did you flash the full Measy ROM with it's kernel? Or did you use another kernel?

            Bob
"Pzebacz im, bo nie wiedzą, co czynią"
"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

I flashed the full Measy ROM with its kernel without only one option: I just unchecked the loader only, and kept everything unchanged as you recommended here.

I have been testing this ROM for a while now. It works as it did before the ROM upgrade except for one thing: it seems that Wifi drops some time (hope it's just a temporary network hang).

Thank you so much for your instruction.

                kimdecent B12

                Hi,

I think you have a kimdecent B12. You may be able to get the stock ROM from them!

                Hope that helps!

                  Yes, that does help, thanks.

I flashed Finless's Measy U2C ROM over, and it has been working flawlessly till now. In fact, the Measy Rom sees my stick as B12 device.
