Arnova 10b G2 Capacitive - Custom ROM by Finless Version 1.4

If the screen does not work then you flashed the wrong ROM.
There are 3 models of the 10 G2
10 G2
10b G2 Resisitve screen
10b G2 Capacitive screen
Since you flashed the 10b G2 capacitive screen (I assume) and the screen doesnt work, you probably have a resistive screen and need to use that. Its in the list of my ROMs in this forum.

It is a ARNOVA 10b G2 - 8 GB
THIS ONE
I bought it on ****, so maybe the previous owner, updatet a wrong firmware.
Modelnumber: A101C
Firmware-Version: 3.6.0
Kernel-Version: 2.6.25 root@cst-desktop #568
Build-Number V0.18.ECLAIR.eng.root.20110711.888888
If it is the wrong Firmware, like the one from Arnova 10b (Gen1),
is there any way to downgrade on the original Firmware.
greetings from Germany
My device says:
Modelnumber: A101C
Firmware-Version: 3.6.0
Kernel-Version: 2.6.25 root@cst-desktop #568
Build-Number V0.18.ECLAIR.eng.root.20110711.888888
Can I flash it with the 'Arnova 10b G2 Capacitive Finless14 Market344' Rom?
I tried but running 'RK29update.exe' I couldn't run it because I couldn't erase the IDB.
If I can flash my Arnova 10b, how can I erase the IDB?
I hope you can help me.
Kind regards, Patrick

first off you need to make sure its the correct rom for your tablet usually if its a resistive it will say dual touch on the front it should also say if its a 10 g2 or not all the ones i have seen do ,thirdly why could you not erase your idb? if the tablet is seen by the flash tool you can hit erase idb and there ya go .did you install the drivers and make sure your in flash mode any questions just ask okfreaktab art developerif you like my work please buy me a pepsi

That model is a 10b and it is RK28. None of my ROm will work for it. I tried to make a 10b ROM but it is impossible to make system ext3 on RK28.

I was afraid you would say that. I saw that during the process RK28 driver were installed.
My 10b is really slow and Youtube does not even work on it. I hoped flashing it with your Rom would better the perfomance.
Thanks for your answer. Might there ever be a 10b Rom from your hand, I hope to hear from it.
Regards, Patrick
Ps. do you have any other idea how to make performance better?

I am sorry my friend but the 10b is just too old now. I have tried a few times to make a better ROM for it but failed. That old architecture just will not allow for upgrades that can make better performance. The best I could do is make a rooted ROM and that is all.
My suggestion to you is sell it while it might be still worth something and get some new hardware that will do what you want to do.
Again, I am sorry to tell you this but I have tried almost a year ago now to make a better 10b ROM and it just would not work well. Again I am sorry I did try.

Don't be sorry. I bought the 10b in october 2011. Hard to believe that at that time the 10b was said t be the newer tablet (in stead of the 10). It was better to wait for the G2 to at that moment.
It just goes too fast to keep up the pace of the suppliers. I do not think that selling is an option. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the same slow tablet.
I have also an Archos 7.0 internet tablet, bought in december. This one performs much better and suites me fine.
Your offer to make a rooted Rom: what would be the effect of that on the 10b?

Thanks again....
Well since my tablet went dead when i was on holiday due to a airport scanner i thought it was time to buy a new one cause nothing worked anymore.
In startup connected to the pc (cause the start up button didnt work anymore either) the tablet went dead numerous of times and lots of errors showed up before it crashed and i thought this was the end of it
One morning i gave it another try maybe the 10 or 15th try again and this time the tablet went miraculously in to the usb mode but still nothing showed up on my pc i reset hold the volume button up the thing crashed again.
Last try.... When it started up again i did something just out of the ordinary,In the menu as far as you can speak of a menu i got the tablet in suspend mode and nothing more then that Guess what i got the rockchip installed and the rom when i manually rebooted the tablet after the install (cause nothing was happening) it started up again and it worked like a charm
Oh well sometimes you gotta do the opposit to achieve your goal.... but i still dont understand how its possible lol....
Thank you again for this excellent rom guys the thing is up and running againLast edited by number1; 08 May 2013, 17:59.
