my daughter has an archos 101 tablet which is great for movies and music but I wanted a good screen so went for arnova 9 g2. one thing the archos does have is some good media apps (video player and music player are great). does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of theses apps and install on the arnova? may be a long shot but if you don't ask ....

What you can do is get ES File explorer from the market and install it on your 101. Then use the backup apps function to back them up to sdcard. Now put that sdcard in the G2 and install them. No gaurentee they will install though.
