MK808B ORIGINAL JB 4.2.2 ERROR:- MODE NOT SUPPORTED

My TV is not Full hd compatible so when I tried mk808b Fineless custom rom 1.7 it works fine but when I used Android 4.2.2 (both Stock firmware & Fineless 4.2.2 Beta Custom rom ).


Error is showing '"Mode not Supported"


So, please do something like it should automatically detect the highest screen resolution of LCD TV. OR PLEASE lower the screen resolution or you can give the option of choosing resolution to let the user choose the screen resolution their TV support in your Flash Firmware software.

Please help me out.

It is a kernel issue, and rockchip, the one who makes this chipsets dont want to to share their full kernel source, according to GPL they must do that, but they didn't do it. So we dont have the sources, we can not modify the kernel, we cant add those resolutions. In mk808(non b) some developers make a funtional kernel with wifi, but in mk808b we don't get wifi working.

Yes, but 4.1.1 is better in this moment that 4.2.2 there are some bugs to solve yet.

This kernel resolution is 1280x672 not 1280x720

We need to bug Rikomagic to make a proper 1280x720 kernel!

Thanks BOB. Your earlier Custom Rom v1.7 works but there was just one problem which I faced is that wifi Signals keeps either 1 or zero mostly times it's 1 although my wifi is just beside the TV..

Please make this 1280x720 kernel compatible..

please make a 1280x720 Kernel of Android 4.2.2 on Mk808b & also fix the issue of Sleep. because once MK808b go into sleep mode it does not start back even after disconnecting. Then only flashing the Rom works..

Another thing I want to know that if I change the Kernel 720 of Android 4.2.2 Rom2.0 with Kernel 720 of Fineless 1.7c. Then will it work on my LCD TV having 1280x720 resolution..or 720p display..

The 4.1 versions of the kernel cant be installed in 4.2. Try to disable sleep mode. 4.2 needs a lot of work to make it works like 4.1
