Sorry about the confusion! Sounds like you and Ray worked it out?

Leolas might be able to help you make a CWM flashable ROM from your CWM backup.

I also have a script to convert a CWM system.tar into a system.img if your interested.
Once you have boot.img, kernel.img and system.img RKCRC'ed you can pack it into a update.img or flash the parts with RK Android tool. You will also need a loader and parameter file but you can take those from an MK808 ROM.

yeah if you could post that script that would be awsome. Once i can convert the system.tar to .img I won't have any issues making an update.img or a cwm flashable zip. Thats the only thing I am stuck on at the moment.

OK so a system.img is nothing more than a EXT4 file system created with DD and then formatted EXT4.
Then you unmounts it and add rkcrc -k to it.
