    NEW - Measy U2C/B12 1080 Kernel in the HOUSE!

    Hey folks.... As we all know, there have been no sources for the many Measy U2C or B12 models!
    So 1080 kernels have never existed!

    Well UNTIL NOW

    Using Dero's kernel binary patch process I have made kernels for you Measy/B12 guys!

    Let me tell you, this is NOT an easy process! I had fun doing it but WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!
    Special thanks to Dero for explaining this process "a little"

    For now, do not ask me for custom resolutions!
    I have not figured out the values yet!!!
    Maybe I will in the future!

    Finally, expect lower Antutu scores!!! Obviously there are more pixels the GPU has to draw with the new 1920x1080 resolution. So scores will be effected by about 2000 lower.


    OK as ALWAYS... please read the README.txt file for instructions!

      Thanks, Bob. I'm not a Measy/B12 guy, you know . I'm kind of a iMito MX1 v2 one but I have tried all your ROMs and updates. To be honest, I have read and followed all your instructions and stuffs.

      What I learn from these is you are a dedicated guy who has spent much of your time developing top-notch ROMs. Please accept my sincere gratitude to you.

      On your new 1080 kernel/boot images, I have tried them without any problem. However (might be my own perception), characters and icons are too small to see on the TV screen (even when huge font feature is chosen).

      I personally think the 720 rom is my best choice.

        personnaly, i will stay with your original kernel on finless 1.7, 720p is more than enough for me!

          To change the small icons, etc you set DPI.

          By editing build.prop and changing

          ro.sf.lcd_density=160

          to

          ro.sf.lcd_density=240

          The icons will look identical to the 720 res kernel.

            1080 measy on UG007

            Bob, hello
            can I try this firmware on my UG007? some people try previous firmware on MX1 and it was OK. is there any risk of flashing my UG007 with this rom? thanks

              No risk other than it may not work. You can always flash back.
              For safety do not flash the loader.

                Hi there finless,

                Nice job putting all this effort in providing such good roms.

                Does this 1080 kernel has some impact with xbmc reading 1080p directly?

                    portrait mode

                    hello ,
                    i have Measy U2C , I would like to know if there is a way to have an application in Portrait mode on screen TV , for example when I want to play Subway Surfer, i can not see the whole picture of this application, so is there a way to reduce the display of such application,
                    in other way , how to get portrait mode in landscape screen of TV

                      There is no way to do that other than real portrait mode! You would need to rotate your TV.

                          I had a problem with the google play store on the other rom that you made for the U2C. It wouldnt let me log in/sign up with an existing account. I re did the rom 4 times and it still would go. I cant remember what the error said from the google play store app. I had to use the the 1080 kernel and boot.img. this one worked on the first try.

                          side note.
                          connection to my router it always showed "connected at 135 mbs"
                          and always gave certificate errors when i used the web browser.
                          the 1080 rom is connecting at 54mbs.

                          Bob if you like i can re flash it with the first 1.7 rom. so you can get a lead on whats going on.

                          thanks for your roms. I am using the 1.7 on the u2c, mx2 and cx803. I dont notice a difference between them. I have one in each room in the house!

                            Nice to have a real 1080 ROM. Screen space is much larger and requires a lot less scrolling that improves web page navigation. On screen keyboards are now a lot less obtrusive. Only gripe really is that icons are a little small for a large TV. Cannot find build.prop after assuming is was a file on the NAND or SD card. Is build.prop editable from within an android session? Is build.prop editable in Notepad?

                              Install ES File explorer from Google Play.
                              Go into settings for ES and enable root explorer, up to root, and mount system RW. If you do not do this, it wont work!
                              Navigate to /system and you will find build.prop file.
                              Click it with ES and you can edit it.
