This is the first release of a ROM for the Pipo M3 3G tablet.

This new ROM is rooted with ext4 file system, init.d support, 2gb user app space.

Please look at the ReadMeFirst file for details.

I do not have an actual M3 tablet to test, however I used the M5 as a test platform, and the ROM works fine on it. Anyone with an M3 3G please test and provide feedback.

It worked on my M5 with the M5 kernel, but no one has posted results on an M3, yet.

This rom is based on the most current firmware posted on Pipo's site. Since I don't read Chinese, I can't tell if there is any information as to what they changed or fixed in their kernel.

I just downloaded it, rooted it and added all the usual stuff. Line I said, I did test the rom on my M5.

heeelp trying to install driver for this device
but cant get it into flash mode
anyone know how.its rooted before whit xp mashine.

First make sure USB debugging is turned off.

If your pc is looking for the driver...install it manually with the driver included for your OS.

You might need a different USB cable.

Try those things. Once the flash tool sees the tablet as a Mass Storage device, just click the boot to flash button on the flash tool. Once it connects as loader...let it sit there for a few seconds before you erase IDB.

Believe me...I check the Pipo site every day for updates.

I thought at first that these tablets might be similar enough that firmwares could cross over to other Pipo tablets...but alas there are too many specifics built into the kernels. Especially going from 4.1 to 4.2. And now 4.3 is trickling out on the Nexus tablets.

As soon as I get an upgrade from Pipo I'll update the RileyROM for this tablet.

Meantime, any thoughts on what else should be added in the next ROM?
