Netflix Fix for JellyBean 4.2.2 TV players

So I have confirmed that the latest Netflix does not work on the TV stick that currently have Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
    The video is scrambled!

Funny too because on Feb 5, 2013 Netflix announced an update for 4.2.2 support. But for some reason it does not work on the MK808 models with JB 4.2.2.

So I found that the previous version of Netflix 2.0.2 works fine!

So here you go, download this:

    Download -> Netflix 2.0.2 version (10 megs)

Now you must go into settings and apps and uninstall the current version. Then unzip this download to your SDcard and install this 2.0.2 version.

    Enjoy,
    Bob

I noticed this morning that Netflix has pushed another update. Has anyone checked to see if this update works with 2.0 ( JB 4.2.2 ) I am holding off on updating my MK808 right now but if this one works I may just go ahead
      Thanks
      Rom !

        Netflix 2.0.2

Thank you Bob for your effort.

This version works without scrambling, however in my case, it stops after a few seconds. I need to pause / unpause to continue, but after 2 or 3 seconds it stop again.

PS.: The new version 2.2.0 has the same problem.

OK apologies right off the bat if this seems like a thread hijack, but it really isn't.
I use the Finless ROM on my mk808 and Netflix not working on 4.2.2 was kind of a bummer.
Love the fact you discovered that the v2.0.2 works.
I have been modding Netflix for Android for some time.
Black splash screen and full playback rotation
(rotation mod really only applies to handheld devices for portrait playback as well as landscape).

This version also disables any update notifications.

If you are currently running Netflix you MUST uninstall it first!
This will not install over other versions of Netflix as I have made modifications to the manifest so it required re-signing the .apk file.

Here you go. My first very small contribution to freaktab.com:

Download Here - Netflix v2.0.2 Black Splash, full rotation, no update check

Thanks Bob for the great ROM!

I have the same problem with a Tronsmart T428. See my Tronsmart T428 Quad-Core MiniPC Fails to Stream Netflix Videos blog post.

Yep..... it appears Netflix has changed their streaming and this old version wont stream anymore. It did when I first posted this but not anymore.

Re: Netflix Fix for JellyBean 4.2.2 TV players

I read that since Microsoft was discontinuing Silverlight, Netflix was changing to html6 code. But as of a month ago they were trying to figure out a way to lock it down. We may have some challenges getting Netflix to work on rooted devices again.

Same here on the MK808b running Finless 2.1. The older version works, but freezes up constantly.
Is there any way to run latest Netflix on Finless 2.1 without scrambling or freezing?
