Mount NFS share to download to

Hi,

Is it possible to mount an NFS share so I can download to it. I have an MK809ii device running finless 1.7a. I had a quick try with mount manager but without success. Kept getting error message of "No such device" wasn't sure if i was typing the correct path syntax or it just isn't possible to mount NFS shares with this ROM.

Any advice much appreciated

I managed to use mount manager to mount the share as cifs and it all works Ok. I looked in lib folder modules, and there is a cifs module but I couldn't see a NFS module. Does this mean there is no NFS mount support in the Rom.

WhatI am trying to do is mount the share so I can play movies in XBMC from NAS and also download to the NAS from Icefilms.

edit that, i thought it was all working OK with cifs but mount manager doesn't mount the share on boot-up only if I go into mount manager and manually mount them then they are OK.
I ave tried all the setting to try and get it to auto mount with no joy.

Anyone have any suggestions.

You need some kernel modules to make nfs work, i am compiling the with other drivers, i hope to upload them soon.

That would be cool! I have yet to see compiled NFS modules that work....
If you succeed, I would like to make it standard in my ROMs.

I didn't test if they works,they compiled without errors, its all i can do by now. I am trying to compile all the drivers included in sources.

If you simply want to play a movie from an NFS server using XBMC, that is already possible. That's what I use. I'm using the latest libstagefright XBMC version (http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/...rmeabi-v7a.apk) Simply go to Videos -> Files -> Add Videos -> Browse -> Network Filesystem (NFS) and enter your server details.

It would be great to have general NFS connectivity so that other apps can connect too.
@leolas/finless: Can the drivers used by XBMC be extracted and reused?
