Minix latest firmware has a BUG!

    Minix latest firmware has a BUG!

    The have a CPU voltage error that if filling up the DMESG log

    <7>[ 84.977786] DVFS LOG: check_volt_correct target volt out of bondary volt=1175000(old=1225000), volt_dep=1275000(dep_old=1275000), up_bnd=1225000(dn=975000)


    They left the DVFS kernel module in the kernel for one and two they have not set the CPU voltage correctly based on this DMESG log.

    I will see if this is fixable but I am pretty sure a new kernel is needed to fix this.

          Sheesh MINIX!!!!! It is hard to debug anything with the DMESG log totally filed with this error!

          PLEASE FIX IT! I tried to patch the kernel binary but no luck and I gave up...

          PLEASE..... performance is being impacted by this constant DMESG log error that really means nothing!

          I left my unit on for an hour and DMESG log was nothing but this DVFS error


          HELP.... You do realize waste full errors reported to DMESG at this HIGH LEVEL effects the performance? The kernel is spending too much time constantly reporting this useless error to the log!

          I know it can be turned off but then any kind of KO module insmod debugging is lost!

                Hi Bob, in minixforums moderator ensures that there is no fault with the new firmware, you detected it, advises us to install your new rom version 1.2a, or wait for a correction by minix.

                  My 1.2a has the same bug. It's in the kernel. It's just a dmesg bug but it should not be there. Makes debugging anything a real pain. But the ROM still works. I think it could have a little better performance if the kernel was not constantly reporting this dmesg error.
