freezing and rebooting..

My Imito MX1 keeps freezing (and sometimes rebooting) with different Finless ROMS.. ROMS seems to run ok.. but then just freezes every time ..

I've replaced the original 5v2a adapter for a different 5v2a..

Anyone with an idea what to do?

Still trying different ROMS/firmware... Imito firmware now.. same problem.. program quits, freezes or reboot..


There must be a solution right?
Something I'm missing?

I am using a long usb cable to connect the micro usb cable to pc (to far away to connect directly, which I also use for my external HDD) and using windows 8.
Firmware installation doesn't seem to be the problem though..

The cable is short... (you mean the power cable when in use right? Not the otg/extra usb cable when flashing the ROM from pc?).
I guess it's about 50 cm, didn't measure it.. the cable it came with.

It gets warm.. don't know how warm.

Ok, I will try the CPU control first and let you know..

Huhm.. XBMC (19-2 hw acc) doesn't work though.. have to figure that out.. I'll try again.

Oh, it froze during second attempt to install XBMC (not at the first, just didn't start).
Thought it was better, but don't know now.. back to trying again..

Wanted to install XBMC again (after removing app), just rebooted on its own..

Do you think it's getting to hot?

Never got any use out of this stick.. (or the previous one; different kind). I'm really ** right now.

Try it with max 1300 Mhz.
The Problem might be the CPU getting to hot.
I have make a Cooler over my CPU when i use it @ 1.6 Ghz.

This is weird also.. first time I plug in the power... set tv to hdmi.. no signal.
Power out and in, boots up..

Try reinstalling XBMC (didn.t work), reboot again.. on its own.. :/

Checked CPU,, 1.6.. automatic..
will put it back to 1.2 again.

But I had the same problem with th Imito Rom, that's weird isn't it? SD card method
didn't work, so had to use RkBatchTool method.

Sometimes I think I see a second of an old Rom boot loader if I start up.. I don't understand that,
because everytime I flash a Rom, I erase Nand first..

Is it automatically set to 1.3 or also 1.6 CPU?

Ok, I'm following instructions.. flashing your Rom.. pressed run .. forgot to take out sd card :/ .. stupid..
But ok, already done..
(didn't eraseIDB .. don't know it that's needed).

I will first try full neon xaf set top version with MX player (because I don't know if I can use HW acc version just yet).

Exit MX player.... after changing setttings.. FROZE reboots..

Trying a different XBMC: hw acc, although I don't know if it will work. But at least it will install.. and it runs.. some video works.. some look scrambled/just weird lines..

Spoke too soon.. trying some different video streams.. froze..
I thought it finally worked.. :/ the amount of hours I have put into this and the previous device.. (and money), I want to be able to watch some video's at least..
(I know, I did this to myself.. but if I see/read that other people use this and it works.. why not buy something for myself for once you know).

But ok, I will stop whining..
and try a different XBMC maybe, don't know.

Will 'Force GPU rendering" make a difference?
Or some other way to watch XBMC video's with hw decoding, some (with external player) just won't install..

Ok.. I am watching a video right now (android app/missed shows). Didn't freeze, YET.. I'm afraid to do something/try anything else, so it will freeze..

before I tried XBMC, hw acc because this version will install and run.., starts, seems allright, after a couple of minutes or something, freezes..
Any tips on the XBMC version that should work? In theory?
