About the 1080p version, I saw it on minix forum. But I don't know who did it, so I don't know if it is ok to re-package it and put it somewhere else.

@petrus I'm setting up my kitchen to cook 1080p version.

It was posted by minix on minix foruns, so I think it's official

I want to cook my own rom preinstalling all common apps I always install and removing unnecessary ones

I am having the same problem after installing the latest firmware via CWM. Just reboots into CWM. I will re-download the zip and try again. Also, do you know where I can find the superSU CWM zip for rooting? Thanks!

Done twice already, same outcome.
Now I restored from nandroid backup, all looks ok (system, apps, personal data), at least the box isn't bricked. Next step will be trying the official tool.

I've downloadead the CWM flashable zip of the new Minix firmware, but can you extract the system.img file as well so I can delete apps I don't need before flash please

CWM problem

As asked by some users, here is a CWM flashable zip of the new MINIX rom :
NEO_X5_20140306_CWM.zip

It is just the stock rom (not even rooted) I extracted and re-packaged.
I tested it, and it was flashed with no problem, over my previous install of Finless 1.3 rom + CWM.

I tried to install via CWM over previous stock ROM (erased cache and data as directed), but now I am stuck with the CWM menu at each reboot...

Before trying other options (restoring the nandroid backup I made, flashing via USB with the Minix official tool...), is there something else I can do?

Ok installed 720 version last night via CWM and rooted it too.

It's the official 720p version.

And it does not affect the installed CWM.

So you can revert to finless 1.3 or any backup you have made before.

You can root it with the CWM zip of superSU, too.

Is it 1080p version or 720. Also after installing this will it keep the cwm recovery in place in case one wants to revert back to finless 1.3?
