The 701c is supposedly unbrickable. Any software issues should be solved via reflashing.

Oh! I won (the first) auction at $2.00. when it arrived, the USB connector was busted clean off. Fortunately I was eyeing a PMID701C with a broken digitizer being offered by the same guy that worked perfectly, so I bought THAT one for $11 and put the good parts together. All told, I spent $25 (with shipping and tax) and about 20 minutes time :-)

I'd give them to you if you pay for shipping but in all honesty, the USB repair is going to be involved-three of the 5 traces are ripped clean off the motherboard, and the far-most pin in the USB connector itself is plain gone.

Um...I think you might be able to, but to be honest I haven't tried. Try searching for generic Allwinner tablet debug modes....
