at first I want to thank you for your awesome work! Thanks to your ROM I am able to take advantage of a fully working tablet! Thank you so much!
Now after having used your ROM for over one week I have got a question: I wanted to access the internet using a proxy. I wanted to use an app of the Android Market but now it tells me, that iptables is required. Is iptables included? Or is there an other possibility to have internet access through a proxy?

IPTables is not working on any Arnova ROM. One day maybe.

Is it a technical problem that it is not working on Arnova ROMs or is it simply because it isnt needed that often as other modules that are already included or are in the making?Comment

It's because they are not there at all as near as we can tell. e.g. not in the kernel.
You can try this if you like. I have not tried it as I do not have a proxy I can test with.
Go to the Market and get a program called anycut. This will allow you to install shortcuts to your desktop for hidden settings.
1) Run anycut and select shortcut
2) Then select activity
3) Scroll through the list and you will find a settings for Proxy. Select it and it will add a proxy settings icon to your desktop.
You can try playing with that and see if you can get it to work.

Thank you for this hint.
I tried it and created this shortcut on the desktop. I dont have a proxy here now but I entered the information for a proxy. Normally I shouldnt have any connection now since I am at home and the proxy settings I entered are for the one at work but nevertheless I have access as usual so it doesnt work, I guess.Comment

Well... I don't know... that was the best I could offer as after poking around in the ROM I saw that. But could never test it.

help...i tried doing the flashing...flashed successfully but in the calibration mode, my screen doesnt respond..
tried to read again the notes and there i saw this is just for resistive.....silly of me!!!
i got an arnova 7b g2 "Capacitive"..that's the problem, screen doesnt respond
anybody there who has the stock system img for this coz i tried looking around the web but cant find one..
if there is already a custom rom for capacitive arnova 7b g2, that might be better..
