Flash RK28/29 based tablets with linux/mac

I found this info on flashing rk based tablets in linux! If you follow carefully, you will finally be able to do quick flashes to your tab without having to switch back to windows. Huge time saver if you are modding the system in any way!

Yes it is a very nice tool set! However is does not work in a VM. My Ubuntu is in a VM because it is easier to go back and forth rather than dual booting my PC. However in the VM the USB handler will not take over the interface. I get an error.

Oh well... sticking with Windows flash tool for now.

Yeah, I got tired of the limitations of the vm. So now I have Ubuntu installed as a dual boot. This makes things alot easier for me

What are you using for the idVendor value in your udev rules for the Polaroid tab?

Dave, how did you get Unbuntu installed? I tried it on mine and Arnova is missing the config.gz. Did Polaroid have that in the kernel?

Never mind, I thought you were talking about Ubuntu on the tablet and was getting excited
