Using MK808B as NAS

Hi

I already order this device from dealextreme and now i'm waiting the package. I have an idea to use it as NAS. Can i connect USB HD Portable then other device like smartphone could connect to USB hardisk via WIFI? does it need Wifi Router or MK808B support wifi direct?

i wonder that MK808B can not read/write NTFS. Could it read/write NTFS?

I am also interested in increasing storage, probably by using a powered USB hub and an assortment of USB flash drives.
At this point I think it might be a more suitable option than a router connected NAS SSD in the tera byte range. I do not want a spinning disk storage device...

I am newbie... I have an MK808 on order from Amazon, an rc-11 airmouse, and powered usb hub.

There doesn't seem to be a Newbie Section here for Dummies! wo ask all the question and avoid polluting the more advanced threads. ...or I have not yet been able to figger out the organization of the board.

There's an app for that! You're going to need:
1) A samba server to enable file sharing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nkyfresh.samba

of course you can use i m using Es File Expolrer V.3 public beta it have everything inside. also FTP server. I can reach my files in everywhere in my house. But there is some problem i have very bad upload speeds in wifi network. About 600kb/sec ı m trying to fix.

Bluetooth File Transfer is another app that works extremely well with the 808B's... As well as WiFi File transfer (sets up FTP)..
