    This, new design, freaktabsite.

... Has become almost unusable. It is very slow 🐌 and the way it looks, for me, it is very messy. It's hard to get the overlook, like the last design gave.

Makes me a 😢 🐼. My most used website is down with the scrapings.

    Regards /

Quite a few of the old version's nicer features are not present in this iteration. I miss them. For instance, when you open the home page, you can no longer tell which posts go to what section/category. That alone makes for much less efficient browsing. . Activity, from my perspective, seems to have fallen off a bit. Could just be me.
No offense intended, but the statement that, "Change is always as good as a holiday", like most "blanket" statements, is false.
For instance, I knew a guy that was healthy, then he got cancer. He failed to see the "holiday" in it. Once a country was at peace, then it was at war. Again, not much of a holiday. In other words, some change is good, some change is bad. Change is, however, constant.
Regarding Freaktab's new version, it has matured some since it's debut. Maybe some of the old version's features will eventually make it back. Either way, I am still enjoying my time here. We'll get used to it. Besides, Freaktab is still one of the very best places to go for info and user experience on ARM devices, that I have found. Add that to the collection of nice and giving members that make up Freaktab, and you still have a great place to hang out and learn/share.
Be interesting to know what prompted the change though.
Much thanks is due Finless Bob and the other collaborators for providing this resource and development efforts.

I agree with everything you said, but want to include. I do most of my browsing while sitting on the couch, using the browser on my Android boxes. The font's are so small, I can't read them, I tried several browsers and it is the same. I have tried all the settings to increase the font size, but no go. This was my go to site for information, but now I can't find anything.

Hmm.. im missing the bbcode menu.. auto save typed text...button to past/clipboard
-I can edit really old posts.it seems.
            Add url button lags.. sometimes

But.. i do like the new look.. (using ff with text white / black bg addon )
Note- with ff addon content filter... freaktab is blocked... also from corp network (before it worked just fine)

I'm finding this new layout a bit difficult as well. It's taking a lot to get used to, and some features as view first unread post seems to be gone. It's made it difficult navigate. Plus Tapatalk no longer works with this forum?? Looking for some fixes to the site I visit daily.

I will work on the site next week. Yes default fonts are WAY too small!

We had to upgrade to Vbulletin 5 for security reasons. They changed a lot of how it works and now I have to learn a lot to clean things up.

Some things better - but if it ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind in this case.

While I generally agree with, "If it ain't broke don't fix it", Finless Bob said there were some security issues with the former software. Of course security weighs heavy in the minds of site owners/operators. And in fact, it weighs heavy on many users as well. So while there are some growing pains with this new layout, in the interest of site security and continued functionality, I'm voting for patience. These folks are pretty sharp at resolving things. I have every confidence that they will have this site running like a well tuned machine and in short order. These people have actual lives, they cannot spend all of their time on this place.
In the mean time, constructive suggestions will probably help further their efforts.
                      Best wishes!

Thanks! Yes we are working on it. Security and speed are number 1 first. I think you are seeing speed increase now. The we start making it look batter. Soon folks soon...

Hi bob, i have to add one issue here, seems like with the vbulletin update the tapatalk plugin seems to have gone haywire... i can not log in but i get email about a failed login attempt. I am pretty sure that my password is correct as i can login on the site.
