Anyone got HD-audio to pass through in Kodi?
Is there anyone out there that has gotten HD-audio to pass through? I've been fiddling with different Intel SST audio device drivers to try to get this working, and at the moment I have 2 categories (audio and sound I think) in Device Manager. The first one still has the MS driver, the second one has an Intel driver. In Kodi I now see the HD-formats available to pass-through, but it's not working yet. I only noticed all this after I thought all the fiddling hadn't helped, and I already deleted all the drivers I used. So I have to try again to see if I can get the audio devices to use the Intel driver also.

Pass through is working fine for me using kodi, I did not do anything special. Just the normal setup. I am using Kodi 14.1. Kodi detected my receiver and I selected it for pass through on setup.
Edit I thought you were asking if pass through works which it does work, just not with HD audio. I was confused initially too bc the HD audio options were displayed as if you may have a choice. Sorry for misleading you. Good LuckLast edited by smokie171; 09 April 2015, 16:57.

I do not have the Pipo X7, but Minix Z64. If X7 is anything like the Z64 (more than likely it is), there is no HD audio passthrough. Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus (7.1) passthrough is not supported. It can however output 8 channel LPCM for Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus (7.1) within Kodi or other media players that can do software audio decode.

Smokie, are you actually able to play HD-audio?
