So far, S82 Plus 202k4 firmware is much more stable than the stock one (115k4).
It comes with Kodi 14 instead of XBMC 13, which is great but I had to disable hardware rendering (expert video settings) as it had weird aspect ratio and changing it had no effect. Aspect ratio is good with software rendering, but there is some lag with 1080 videos. I have not tried with 4K videos but I guess it can only be badder...
Plus, wifi is not working at all. I don't know if it is an hardware issue as I am having multiple issue since day 1, such as no audio coming from hdmi input. However Ethernet is working great.
I did not backedup the Hdmi in apk, so I can't tell you if that's enough to make it work on S82 Plus Firmware. If anyone is wanting to share the original APK I will be glad to give it a try.

Hi @ll.
I recently got me a Beelink iOne i826 TV Box (AMlogic SL812) and I have mixed feeling about its quality: lots of things work fine out of the box, a few don't, and I have had several lockups while faffing about. So for my first post here, I intend to collect a bunch of info tidbits gathered around, as preparation for some more serious tweaking.
The best all around written review I found is Mediasat's "Beelink i one (i826) TV Box: the review" (http://en.mediasat.info/2015/07/03/beelink/), although XDA Dev's forum also has a pretty good one ("[Review] [Unboxing] - Beelink UBox S812 Android", http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3142146; I also found a local review at http://freaktab.com/forum/main-category/new-product-reviews-and-announcements/493258).
First things first, here's the two related(?) TWRP recovery threads I have found:
- http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-support/amlogic-based-tv-players/16228
_EDIT_ I can confirm that upon startup into recovery, the device bootloader checks the ExternalSD for any file named 'recovery.img' and launches it; I was able to run 'TWRP_2.8.7.0_K200.img' (2nd thread, 1st download), after renaming it to 'recovery.img', and performed a nandroid backup of firmware 115k4 factory files; afterwards, I chose 'Install', then bottom right corner IMGs button, located the 'recovery.img' file on the ExternalSD and flashed it; after a full reboot, my box is now happily sporting the "TWRP 2.8.7.0 by Abdul_pt"recovery instead of the default "".

Hello everyone
I'm watching this box, (with a good price in GearBest in europe warehouse) but it seems to me that support for new firmware is not very good.
- It supports F-OTA?
- Supports DTS 5.1 ans AC3 5.1?
-And The 2nd HDMI port already has functionality (recording), or is it just to decorate? But, I do not need a 2nd HDMI port
I am interested in this box for KODI / XBMC, and to use as functionality SmartTV
The box has good specs, but seems kind abandoned by manufacturer
Tks

Hi Wander,
Firware on-the-air? In this case : not.
I just updated to 116k4 fw (nearly nothing has changed (statusbar is hidden by default). Now HDMI in app, has got record capability. But it's very basic. No timer available (via EPG).
About DTS 5.1 and AC3 5.1, yes it supports (I have no problem with files like this audio codecs).
If you do not need hdmi input, the save some money, and buy a cheeper s812 box.
If I have more time, I will try the Beta lollipop FW too.

There were some problems with the HD files on this device (it looks like when the video fast forwarded for a little bit), no matter what Kodi (SPMC, XBMC) version I tried. Already tried to play this video with every display output (1080p 60Hz, 50Hz, 24Hz).
Today I tried to play the video with MxPlayer too, and the problem still there. (on PC, or on my Vivo Xshot, video plays fine).
It was a 25fps, 1280x720p, AVC, [email protected] file. It seems I've found the problem (maybe for this file, but who knows). It was CABAC Ref=9.
A similar file with almost the same parameters plays in Kodi just fine (Ref=5).
So the file encoding was not proper. From now on I'll check that info too, when a video not so smooth on this device.

Care to detail the location of the CABAC file and what to edit?
And how do you go about changing Kodi versions, just install them over?
It shows I'm kind of green in this TV box tweaking...

About CABAC. Well, I've used MediaInfo app (on windows) to detect this "problem".
At first I started to recode the file. But it was time-wasting on my 8 year old machine, so I decided to download a different version of the video.
