Last/final ROM for my MK808B

I've been reading the forums to see if there is a concensus on what's the latest/best ROM for an original MK808B and haven't been able to make a decision. About a year and a half ago I came to the conclusion that the finless 1.7 ROM was the one to use at that time, mainly due to Netflix problems with the finless 2.1 ROM and other newer kernels. I think I read that Finless Bob has stopped working on RK3066 ROMs, but can't find that now. Was there a final latest greatest?
The reason I'd like to try something new is that I do have two issues with the current setup.
First XBMC/Kodi locks up the system. The problem has occurred with all stable versions of XBMC and Kodi I've tried over the last year and a half (or thereabouts). It doesn't lock up while using it, but if I leave XBMC/Kodi open and idle, after a few hours the system will lock and I have to power down to reset it. If I close XBMC/Kodi and leave system at the desktop it never locks up. (edited to hopefully make sense)
Second if I hide the tool/status bar at the bottom of the screen, the mouse pointer does not line up properly. The mouse pointer is too high on the screen. It is about the height of the tool/status bar above what it is actually selecting. (I have to move the pointer to a spot above whatever I want to click on).

tl;dr - Is there a ROM newer than finless 1.7 that works with Netflix?

If you find one, let me know. I've been stuck back at 1.7 as well mainly because TUN.KO is not present in the later version, and I need that in order to run OpenVPN.

Have you tried SPMC?
Before opening SPMC/KODI hide the tool bar. This should stop your 2nd fault. If you hide bar after opening you experience your problems.

This is an old device, but I have been using http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...21-14-720-1080 that ROM and Netflix works pretty well. The roms by mo123 also seemed to be popular. Good luck ... I wouldn't mess with mine any more ... because active support has moved on to newer devices.

The problem with hiding the toolbar before opening spmc or kodi is that the hide button doesn't become visible unless one app is open. If you are quick enough to launch xbmc and then click the hide button right after (make a shortcut right above the spot on the menu bar where the 'hide icon' appears), the cursor will be accurate. It has to be very quick though, so this is annoying.

I remember reading that renaming the menu bar's file extension effectively disables it, but I'm not sure if that breaks some apps.

I use the stock rom, if you need a link I can look (it's somewhere on my post history, the baidu hosted rom from bee-link's site). You can try some of the custom ones first though.
