This post maybe a bit long winded so please bear with me
I have recently bought an OTT M8n box to replace my Q7 RK3188 box as it seemed to be widely reccomended swr it up all was good, after a week or so thought I would have a go at upgrading the firmware on the Q7 as it was on 4.2.2, did that with no problems and can now get 1080p in kodi, so I copied the setup from the M8n to the Q7 and was amazed to see the picture quality so much better on the Q7 not just video playback but the kodi menus and backdrops are so much sharper better contrast and saturation I couldn't believe how much better it was on a less well specced box
My setup is HDMI from TV to a HDMI splitter box then into the 2 boxes have tried swapping cables and ports on the splitter but however I do it the Q is still better both boxes are set to 1920x1080p at 60Hz, and compared to the Q7 watching the M8n is like watching through a pair of tights.
So my question is why? any help would be appreciated as it is bugging the hell out of me I will post screenshots from both if I get chance later but not sure if the difference will be seen when posted in the forum
