Apparently not. I have the 1g model and have tried the remix firmware. It works well but I can't get google play movies to work on it or reg stock. Haven't tried finless yet.Comment

I have the MXIII 2/8g. I installed finless rom 2.1 and it works great.

Your not alone with that. I don't know if its due to the Box being rooted. Or, if its missing some DRM Keys. But, Google Play Movies DO NOT work on the MXIII. Well the 1G version anyway. As a fellow 1G'er I'd also recommend you to install the k200.img, of TWRP Recovery.. Check the Board! And, then downgrade back to 109k4/110k4. As to the other Questions... Yes its Stock I don't think I've ever seen a "Custom Rom" before, not that I'd know the difference. As to me a Custom ROM would run along the lines of AmLiunx, or OpenELEC, and not Finless... But, to be fair... I can't run Finless on a 1G Box. So how custom it really is over the Oman original(s)?!
I don't think so but, if you wanted to downgrade... As a test, then you'd need to make sure to grab the 2G Version, since 109/110 was (or seemed to be the last split version Firmware), since 111k4 they've been released as AiO Firmwares for both the 1G & 2G Units. Which could explain why they suck so much on 1G Units.
AGAIN I DO NOT HAVE A 2G UNIT! So I can not report on this. As to if Finless is better on 2G Units? You'd have to ask elsewhere.

IMHO: You better off trying to install this downgrade though TWRP, since the Stock 3e Recovery will prevent you from actually doing so. Stating something along the lines that you need to install an update thats newer then the One already installed. TWRP on the other hand, doesn't care whether the "Update" is newer, or not.
Besides its almost always sound advice to ALWAYS make a stock Nandroid Recovery Backup wherever / whenever possible.Comment
