    MK809III / RK31SDK with RTL8723bs - Need ROM with 1080p

I purchased a stick off Amazon described as : Hossen MK809III RK3188 Quad core Cortex A9 4.2.2 Android Mini Google TV Player Stick Box 3D 2GB/8GB 1.6GHz Max with Bluetooth Wifi Black

    with FULL HD 1080p.

At first I thought it was my monitor, then after lots of reading I came to find out these TV sticks typically require scaling to get to 1080p. What that means to me is that unless I scale my 24" monitor a lot I have really fuzzy everything. Antutu says I am at 720 even when set to 1080p.

Opened it up and the main chip is blacked out, but ran Antutu and it was a stable 1.6 with quad cores so I think that is good. The wifi chip is the RTL8723bs and it came running 4.4.2 - rk31sdk-eng 4.4.2 KOT49H eng.ubuntu.20141216.160843

So I really just want this thing a little crisper and clearer. If that is not easily possible maybe somebody can point me to a stick that would be easy or stock at 1080p. This is going on either a 22 or 24" 1080p monitor mounted to the wall in my garage with the intention of running Torque and youtube videos/repair manuals for my motorcycles and cars. I might use it to stream audio to my stereo system, but mostly just looking for decent quality video on youtube.

First, you'll want to back up your current ROM because you've got a ton of options available with that combo.

Here are two that I have found and are of unknown origin:

The one I use for my stick is 1080 and can be found here, and linked from UGOOS website(http://ugoos.net/downloads): https://mega.co.nz/#!Z10mgYhT!SdubLh...hNMbX1bNeIrPBs

Second, with a 24" monitor and watching videos on youtube, you will probably not notice much of a difference between 720 and 1080.
