    701c series Ethernet Option

My wife purchased 2 of these tablets but we dont have wireless at home. She uses hers at work where there is a wifi connection. I hate them due to me working from Home. How can I set up a wired ethernet connection to my Polaroid PMID701c tablet ?
I see there is a an option to do so in SETTINGS > ETHERNET CONFIGURATION.

What exactly type of cable would I need to purchase to run thru my LINKSYS Cable/DSL wired router or would it run from my Tower/PC ? ?

    USB network dongle

I used the 3rd party cheap chinese ethernet adapter I have for the Wii and it worked fine. Don't know the chipset off the top of my head.

Wii ethernet dongle --> OTG cable --> poladroid / enabled setting = WIN!

    Good luck!

I know it's not what you wanted, but why not just grab a cheap wireless router? By the time you pay for the OTG cable and dongle, you could have bought a router..That's what I did, then added new firmware to the router from here:

I have no interest in Wireless because I'm a gamer, and I cant afford the signal drops and peaks.
Plus I just dont want to spend the money on a wirless router either.
Ive had one before and nothing beats a wired connection in a house.
I just need to know exactly what cable to get for the dongle

            otg cable type

Mine was a left over from a old digital camera, but it has a MINI (not micro) usb on the tablet side and a full size socket to plug the ethernet adapter into on the other.

And I agree gaming loves a wired connection. The down side is no charging while using OTG.
