Acemax / Enycrap
I think these vendors have gone to sleep again on firmware releases & support for their units now you can see why you should buy minix or beelink products better supportBugs are Sons of Glitches!

Cant speak to Acemax but Eny sure has gone for a dump... I just bought a wack of S812's and sure am glad I can handle my own code cause their factory software for their EM8S's really is some of the worst ive ever seen... thank god I only buy them for their hardware as I don't mind the quality of their boards... Minix is much better but then your paying a lot more as well... My location is totally flooded with the box flippers pushing the cheaper S802's but the story's always the same as endusers buy and get pee'd off with buggy firmware and left out in the cold as most box flippers know very little about coding other then to come here and a few other places looking for handouts trying to make a secondary revenue stream charging their end users for updates... lol...

'Our unique software is tied to the specific hardware in our device and is not installable outside of our manufacturing process. What does this mean for clones? They’ll be left in the dust...'
What that means is that they use locked bootloaders and you won't be able to install any custom ROM's that fix issues and only their outdated stock ROM's full of bugs.
The same goes for Eny since they are the same company.
If you look at the Eny RK3288 forum on Freaktab it is completely dead with no answered questions.
You will also have to deal with fake power adapters and buy new ones if you don't want freezes or shutdowns.
They also use Nand flash memory instead of faster EMMC that increases boottime and makes high bitrate video streaming intolerable.
Then you also have to deal with certain of there devices that come with fake 2GB RAM that is baked with software tricks into their stock ROM's and only realize it when you open the box.
Their boxes also have no heatsinks, a definite no no.
Also their AMLogic S802/S805 devices all have the same serial numbers so certain streaming apps that rely on unique codes for different boxes won't be able to run.
Unfortunately there are so many sellers that flood markets with these boxes because they are so cheap and quality boxes are difficult to buy and come by and users don't realize the difference spending extra can really make afterwards. Buyers mostly care about price and don't realize with phones & TV Boxes after sales support and firmware updates are very important.
With other companies like Beelink, you don't have to deal with the majority of these issues.
Other manufacturers of S802/S805 boxes do work much better.
If you have Eny boxes, can use Justme ROM's for better performance or use Openelec.

I guess it all comes from what your are capable of doing on your own... Ive no issue at either a hardware or firmware level so I'm basically just using Eny as a hardware supplier but if I had to depend on the Manufacture for support then I'd not be buying from Places like Eny.... Minix would be much more suitable...
Thing that irks me is the box flipper market that's grown around these boxes where the end user keeps getting burnt by non current software as the market grows and most box flippers do nothing other then troll or beg looking for hand-outs from places like Bob's here....One would think the makers of the hardware would at least care about supporting their end market with current software rather then depending on the good guys hangin on sites like this to develop decent software and then leech it from them... but I quess greed and money does funny things to people...
Honestly tho I don't hate Eny just wish them and the others would follow thru more on what they should be providing to their end users...

hm.... recently over 100 units that the factory said this was the most current "ny_m8s_ap6330_8g2g_150307_SDÉý¼¶_kodi" which came preinstalled... not even the most current kodi and onotp of that I had to reload every unit as their version would start and immediately kick ya back down to Android... not exactly what I'd say cool for a main stream manufacturer...
like I said tho not a Eny hater as I continue to buy their hardware but that's what my last order from them came as...

Im not needing or Asking anyone for anything as ive had my own non-android software running since i started initally playing with the rk3188's from Minix along time ago as media streaming from various transport streams is my thing, so android's kinda useless for what i do, I just really like the hardware platform these quad boxes offer for developing media streaming appliances...
Initially my point was ... for someone as large as Eny you would think they would be taking care of this kind of rudimentary software support... Minix was never like that which is why i speak highly of them... Eny's software prior to the kodi release was better then that last one and you would think for boards that are screened this new they would have put at least 14.2 which has been current for quite awhile... which by the way works just fine once you pull it from kodi's server and do your own install... even the newest 15 beta release seems to work pretty well... but as i said before... why would a big company like Eny be this in-ept when it comes to providing proper software...
ps... its not just the kodi thing that had to be corrected either... the remotes they came with all had issues like almost always double clicking on every touch as well as being totally non-functional when using the push-reset install method, i needed to add an external keyboard just to make selections at the loading screen...
I still buy their hardware tho as the price point is good... after week's of trying to get answers from Eny' themselves figured i'd make my point here... Eny's not the worst thats for sure... As a long time reverse-engineer hacker its sad to see a company with decent hardware like they appear to make be this almost Forest-Gump like when it comes to the software thats supposed to make their box work...lol...

nope... nothing wrong with it and its a great project... ive been using and building Linux kernels and software since Slackware's 1st release of Linus's system years ago so I have my own version along with a few custom appz ive written to handle some of the different transport streams being used to move media content around... and I prefer to keep up with the newest kernels without waiting and depending on others....
