Ad hoc really working with new wpa_supplicant file.

correct me if i'm wrong in understanding that this wpa_supplicant will allow your tablet to connect to adhoc wifi like joikuspot for symbian..or is it the other way around?

kinda confused...

if your phone is sending out an ad hoc signal then the new WPA should be able to find it and let you connect to it.

finally got the sup file to work(better to explain they need to unzip the damn thing!)

but even though my tab can see adhoc and connects there is no actual data connection!!! so no internet oh well never mind!

The file is inside the .gz file the gz files is a zip file.

Adhoc works perfectly fine with adhoc networks that are not WM6.5 based....

If I run WMWifiRouter on my HTC Kiaser is connects but there is not data being transferred(laptop and netbook work fine with it). If I reboot Kiaser to android and use wifi tether(adhoc) if connects fine and data is working!!!!


Anyone have any ideas????

As previously indicated, I am successfully using my WiMo6.5 (HTC Rhodium/TouchPro2) as a WiFi modem/hotspot with my Nextbook 7 Premium. I am using the WiFi sharing software found on the XDADevelopers site. This application allows all of my Windows laptops/netbooks (and my Nextbook) to access the internet using my phone's 3G connection.

No special setup is required beyond installing the application into the phone and replacing the supplicant in the Nextbook. I can answer any questions about my setup.

That said, I now need a supplicant for my Hyundai A7 (AllWinner A10/Cortex A8 SoC). I am hesitant to try this one....
